Piedmont Biofuels Industrial-Department Manager (2006 – 2010)

  • Managed design, permitting, construction, consulting and training for Piedmont Biofuels Design-Build Clients – Including mobile processing systems, batch processors, continuous flow reactors, and fully automated modular biodiesel production systems ranging from 25,000 gpy to 7mmgpy
  • Manage fabrication and design crew of 8 employees including designers, consultants, draftspersons, machinists and welders
  • Integrator of cutting edge biodiesel technology and processes into systems for clients – Including waterless washing, cavitational high shear reactors, methanol recovery, direct esterification, glycerin refining, use of enzymes
  • Consultant on more than 100 biodiesel projects in the U.S. and abroad
  • Responsible for construction of 20 biodiesel production facilities in the U.S. and Dominican Republic for research and commercial production

  • Assisted in development of curriculum for Biodiesel 101 – Introduction to Biofuels and upper level course Alt 210 on Advanced Biodiesel Production Training including Direct Esterification, Glycerin Refining, Waterless Processing, Methanol Recovery, Ethanol Distillation and Wash Water Remediation
  • Assisted in design of a biofuels demonstration plant that is part of a new green campus opened in September 2010. Worked with code officials, architect and engineering firm.

Haymaker Biofuels- Contract Consultant and Engineer (2004-Present))

  • Designed and Built Farm Scale Biodiesel Processing System for farm and fleet use.
  • Designed Equipment for fueling and servicing generators, light towers, heavy equipment and fleets for large events such as 2009 Presidential Inauguration, Rothbury Music Festival, ESPN X Games and Lolapoluza Music Festival with b20 and b100
  • Operated afore mentioned equipment at the above events on contractual basis
