Rachel Burton

Rachel Burton is a founder of Piedmont Biofuels. She created the Biofuels Program at Central Carolina Community College, while teaching in the Automotive Department.

She currently serves as the Research Director at Piedmont. Rachel designed and built the laboratory facilities at Piedmont Biofuels Industrial. She specializes in fuel quality and biodiesel analytical method applications.

Rachel also writes grants and manages Piedmont’s public funding and plays a key role in our day to day operations.

She is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, and of the Sustainable Agriculture Program at Central Carolina Community College, and prior to starting Piedmont, she was a full time automotive instructor.
