Before she rode off on her bicycle with Jack and Oscura, Adah created a remarkable herb garden in the middle of nowhere. In the midst of empty 55 gallon drums and totes full of janky liquids, there sits this remarkable garden. Sometimes, when people need an herb for their local lunch dish, they come out and help themselves. And sometimes, when Lyle is changing a tractor tire, he kneels down in her stinging nettle and ends up with welts all over his arms. That used to make Adah happy. “It’s good in tea,” she said.
We have a lot of perennial herbs growing at the plant. Giant rosemary bushes, and sage, and beds of thyme seem to pop up everywhere.
