We are not sure why “pond” is on our parkmap. Our pond is just sort of a red clay mud hole that barely holds water. But our conceptual artist, Stacey, lives in Oregon, and it’s been awhile since she’s visited the plant. She drew a pond with cattails and a blue heron, and it is true that we get blue herons from time to time. We also get egrets, and shorebirds, but if we were to take a picture of our pond, it would just look like a mud hole.
So we used this picture instead.
