Mobile and Educational Reactors

We seem to have both education and trailers in our blood here at Piedmont Biofuels.  From our workshops and beginnings teaching at CCCC and our first Cleantech trailer in 2005 we have been building biodiesel plants on trailers.  Over the years we’ve built them for a range of clients from farmers’ coops to the North Carolina Zoo.

A mobile system has it’s challenges.  Oil and biodiesel are heavy, pumps take electricity to run, and a good batch production system must be easy to use, and produce quality fuel from a range of feedstocks.  Piedmont has a variety of designs utilizing sturdy and safe Wells Cargo trailers, co-generation of heat and electricity using closed loop diesel generators, able to produce high quality fuel for education or coop fuel production.  For the beginning operator we offer hands-on training, complete lab kits, and a detailed manual for the user.
